Confrontation Without Conflict

Description: Introduction to Progressive Confrontation is most effective when is in conjunction with Introduction to Influencing or when participants need a refresher to improve and practice confrontation skills.

Typical Duration/Time: ˝ day/4 hours

Outcomes/Results:

  • define confrontation as different from conflict (effective and ineffective approaches)
  • discuss options for confrontation, including negotiation, natural consequences and progressive requests
  • practice delivering confrontations
  • prepare for a confrontation
  • increase options for difficult conversations
  • increase ability and effectiveness in confronting issues and problems as they arise
